What Are the SRA Transparency Rules?
The SRA Transparency Rules require regulated law firms to publish specific information on their websites to help consumers make informed choices about legal services. These rules apply to all firms regulated by the SRA.
Who Must Comply?
The rules apply to all firms that provide services in one or more of the following areas:
- Residential conveyancing
- Probate (uncontested)
- Motoring offences (summary only)
- Immigration (excluding asylum)
- Employment tribunal claims (unfair/wrongful dismissal)
- Debt recovery (up to £100,000)
- Licensing applications for business premises

You must publish information about those who work on client matters, including:
- Qualifications and experience of the individuals
- Who will supervise the work
- Relevant accreditations (CQS, Lexcel, etc.)
